Chief reels are designed with an external adjustable control system found on the left sideplate of the reel. When the system is engaged, the magnetic brake will control speed of spool to reach the castign distance with this setting and prevent the line mess up whule over spin of spool.
Chief reel are future 2 precision high speed stainless steel ball bearings to give maximum of casting.
Chief reels utilize helical cut main and pinion gears. Thiw process allows for improved gear meshing which equates to emproved gear smoothness. The angled teeh found in helical cut gears engage more gradually than straight cut gear teeth. Chief Xtreme series equipped with a 303-grade stainless steel pinion allows more durable and strict performance.
